Because Grandpa Jay was in town we decided to make ebelskivers, our favorite family dish for breakfast. For the uncool, an ebelskiver is a Danish sphere-shaped pancake with a slice of apple inside. In my family one aspires to be a 'skiver (pronounced "skee-ver") turner from an early age, however Greta, at less than one week old, is probably the youngest in the family to ever turn a 'skiver.
Yesterday Greta got Gopher shoes and today Grandpa Jay gave her a Minneapolis Golf Club hat, which bears her initials, "MGC." It may fit by summertime - "It just looked so small when I bought it," said Grandpa Jay. Yes, she is tiny.
Other than that the day has been pretty quiet thus far. We'll be going to church tomorrow and Greta has a new pink dress to wear. She even had a bath tonight to get ready for her big morning.
Thanks again to all of you who have taken an interest in Greta and this blog. We love reading your comments.
