Uber-update

I know you are used to it by now, so I'm not even going to offer my usual excuses.  Moving on!

So here's the visuals with a few notes:
My boys in their matchins'.  Wes is wearing Ty's old longalls.

Jammy kiddos...how can it be time for winter jammies

We had fun ghosting some friends...

This is G's world right now...My Little Pony.  Everywhere.  All the time.  Nonstop.  We have like 50,000 drawings JUST LIKE THIS ONE.

Tried to turn this one for you unsuccessfully.  This is her self portrait from the first week of school.  I wonder where her clothes went?

Matchins siblings...beautiful fall by Minnehaha Creek.

More matchins.
We had a visit from my friend Abby and her newest love...Christopher!  He's yummy and wonderful.
Greta thinks babies are cool...until they poop.

SO big.  And so amazingly perfectly chubster babyish.
We did our annual trip to an apple orchard this fall.  The kiddos liked it.  Greta enjoyed being the "expert" teaching Wes all about pommes.  She counted them in French...he followed suit (he can count to 20 now in French- no kidding).

Playing in the hay mountain leads to hay in some uncomfy places.

You can't have them...they are all mine.

Best of the day.
Then it was Halloween.  We had the other preachers' kids over in Wes's age group right before Halloween for some holy cute fun.  Um, yeah.

Our pumpkins- can you guess whose is whose?

Monarch butterfly & Thomas the train.

We trick or treated with one of Greta's fave new friends from the bus...it was very exciting to TOT with a friend!
Now on to the recent funnies:

  • Wes sings the full My Little Pony theme-song entirely out of his nose.  He also knows all of their names and enjoys tormenting Greta that "rainbow dash's" alternate name is "lightning toot."
  • Wes also has been saying some very funny stuff...at dinner he channeled his Day Care provider and told Greta very sternly...'BEHAVE yourself."  I'll put the clip here --->
  • When asked what he was thinking about in a quiet moment, Wes answered his father "I was thinking about Jeeps and other vehicles."  Truth.
  • As we lead up to Christmas, a frequent refrain from Greta when we walk the isles of Target is "Say mom, something just caught my eye..."  Where does she come up with these phrases?
  • We are pretty sure that she is making up French words here and there.  Of course, we have no way to prove her wrong as google translate is currently our best French tool.
We'll post some fun stories and pictures from Tgiving!
