Happy Easter!!!!

The members of the Christiansen clan are stuffed...well at least the preacher & his wife are quite full. Somehow Greta seems ready to eat again even after the fabulous meal we had at Grandma Marmo's. We all brought something to share (see the photo of the cute bread bunny I brought...thank you Mrs Baker for the great recipe!) and partook of Papa Bruce's "famous" baked ham. Almost all the family was there (we were missing our fav college student Aunt Jayne) and it was really a lovely day despite the snow (1/2 a foot). The Easter Bunny even stopped by and gave Greta and the Starr girls a treat by hiding eggs for them all over the house. Enjoy a few pictures of our Easter celebration. Peoria Pilgrimage

Our trip to Peoria was fabulous. My grandma is doing really well for being a newly minted 87 year old, Greta did quite well on the journey to and fro, we were able to see friends (the Kiels) and family (G's Aunt Jayne) along the way, and of course we had a lovely weekend with my folks, my brother & his family, and my Aunt and her family. Bamagramps & Bamagramma were in hog heaven with both of their grandbabies around them and the girls played quite well together (well, they did well considering they are both under 18 mos!). Evelyn & Greta did have a little tug a war going over the cellophane wrapped candy in their parents' Easter baskets which was a hoot to watch....maybe even more amazing is that neither of them fussed about it....they just kept pulling the candy from each other's hands time after time after time after time! Gboo and I felt a bit stalked by snow as it went from the high 50s our first day in Peoria to snowing the next day (where do we have to go to escape this white stuff???), but we all played happily inside regardless. Our only regret is that Gboo's dad had to stay behind to preach and missed the fun weekend. Enjoy a few pics that captured our fun!

Is it ever to early.....

for a girl to have her first set of golf clubs? I would guess both of Greta's grandpas would answer with a resounding NO! Greta has in fact acquired her first set of sticks and has been enjoying pulvarizing the accompanying golfballs. She's getting ready to hit the greens this summer with her grandpas! FORE!

A new baby in the family

Ahhh no, blog readers....we are not pregnant with #2....but I did think that title would get your attention. We do have a new baby in the family it seems. Greta has discovered her baby doll (a gift from the Beadle family) and she now brings "baby" all around the house with her. It is terribly cute...especially when she gives her "lovies" (sort of a cross between a hug and a nuzzle- see the 1st picture). Just thought I'd share a few pics of her and her baby from this morning.

PS her Bamagramma thinks this is the best 60th bday gift ever.....to have a granddaughter that loves dolls (Greta's mom was never too much of a fan). If you see Bamagramma out and about today....be sure to wish her Happy Birthday (and giggle at her grimace!)!
