Ok, sorry for the cheesy "shape of MI" joke...but really, who doesn't love MI? Especially if you have some rockin' friends that live there like I do...
Gretaboo and I went on our last plane trip where Greta will not be required to have her own seat (this is both a joy and pain) to see some friends from grad school in Michigan. The long weekend started off with Amy and Mike and their kids Allison & Ben. Ben is just a hair older than Greta, so when they got past the toddler "MINE!" fights, they had a pretty good time together. Allison seemed to enjoy the role of "babysitter" and toddler entertainer pretty well...or at least she was a great sport! They are both their mama's kiddos (Mike's too. I'm not suggesting something scandalous! They are both pastors after all...). It was alot of fun to see them in action and get a chance to catch up with their parents too! The latter half of the weekend was spent with Abby and Johan. Greta chased their poor kitties all over the house chanting "kitty, com'mere" with wild abandon. Yes, their quiet little country house was invaded by the tenacious toddler...hopefully she didn't wear them out too much for the coming work week!
We had a great time. Pics are of the kiddos at bathtime, 3 of the 4 amigos at Garrett, and Greta in full fledge temper tantrum at A&J's house.
We did miss our daddy and Greta ran to greet him at the airport yelling "SWEEEEET SPOTTTTTT!" (sweet spot=the under the chin/ neck area that daddy frequently kisses/zuberts/tickles until his girlie squeals loudly with delight). I'm not sure who was happier to see whom...
